From the moment we stepped on board, we were surrounded by luxury. Each suite featured a private balcony, offering stunning ocean views that were simply mesmerising. One of the perks of this cruise is the personalised mini bar in each suite, which can be stocked with your preferred beverages.

Dining on the Scenic Eclipse II was a delight. All meals are complimentary, but I recommend booking the smaller, intimate venues as soon as you board to ensure you don’t miss out on those special culinary experiences. And if you’re craving something late at night, the 24/7 room service has you covered. With a diverse menu that changes daily, you can indulge in everything from soups, caesar salads, cheese and fruit plates to full meals like steaks with fries, veggies, pastas, and burgers.

The Scenic Lounge became one of our favourite spots on the ship. With over 122 different whiskeys on display, it was a beautiful central setting where guests gathered throughout the day. They have a menu, but if you have a specific cocktail in mind, just ask, and they’ll make it for you. Another highlight was the Sky Bar, the best place to watch the sunset. Often accompanied by live music, it provided the perfect ambience to end our days.

One of the unique aspects of our journey was the Critter Club. Every evening at 5:30 PM, we met with the Discovery Team to chat about our findings from the day. It was a wonderful way to learn more about the incredible wildlife and landscapes we encountered.

Scenic Eclipse II offers an abundance of space, creating a relaxing vantage point to spot incredible landmarks and wildlife. The 550 sqm Senses Spa was an oasis of relaxation, and the yoga and Pilates studio helped us stay active. Or if you are looking to pamper yourself, you can choose from a variety of health and beauty services.

The Kimberley Coastline itself is home to some of the oldest and most pristine landscapes in Australia. We were constantly in awe of the magnificent waterfalls, spectacular reefs, deep canyons, and abundant wildlife. We also had the chance to learn about the ancient indigenous culture, which added a profound depth to our journey.

Our daily adventures were filled with excitement and wonder. Heli-fishing was a highlight; we caught impressive fish like barramundi and mangrove jacks, which the chefs cooked up for us and our partners. Exploring Montgomery Reef was serene and beautiful, with sightings of sharks, turtles, rays, and sea snakes. The Hunter River and Porosus Creek offered us a glimpse into ecologically important mangroves and the highest population of saltwater crocs in any Kimberley river. Ashmore Reef was a spectacular surprise, a sanctuary for dugongs, turtles, various shark species, and a mass of birdlife, including over 100,000 seabirds that breed there every year. It was an incredible sight!

Our explorations included zodiac rides, helicopter tours, and guided walks with the expert Discovery Team. Leading our adventure was the award-winning wilderness expert Mike Cusack, along with a team of marine biologists, wildlife veterinarians, historians, naturalists, geologists, and ornithologists.

This journey aboard the Scenic Eclipse II was truly the adventure of a lifetime. The Kimberley region is now high in demand and cruises are booking out faster than ever. The Scenic Eclipse is only in Australia for a limited time, contact me today to discuss details on future departures.
